The band was formed among remarkable jazz and folk musicians from Hungary. They play ethno-jazz and world music rooted in the folk tradition of Hungary and the Balkan. Their pure acoustic "ground smell" sound reflects the ancient power of folk music and improvisation. The repertoire of the band is based mostly on the leader' s originals.
In 2004 their debut cd "Somewhere Else" was released featuring János Hámori on trumpet at that time.
From this album Balázs Bágyi' s composition "Mosquito Dance" was finalist in the instrumental category of the USA Songwriting Copetition in 2005.
After that cimbalom player Daniel P. Szabó has joined the quartet their second album "Hungarian Music" was released in 2006, featuring Beáta Salamon (Méta Ensemble) on violin.
During the spring of 2008 the quartet performed on the "Metamorfózis" concert in the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall at the Palace of Arts in Budapest. Later this year they played on the "Fete de la Musique" in Berlin and had a successful tour in Transylvania.
Among several important festivals the quartet has also played at the Sziget Festival, last time in 2010 when they performed before such great american artist like George Duke and Dennis Chambers on the 2nd Hungarian Jazz Day.
